Ohio's Amish Country Adventure!

(Sample two or three night package)

Day One: Travel Day, arrive to host hotel in the World's largest Amish community know for its fabulous scenery, delicious cuisine, and a variety of the finest locally made arts and crafts. Welcome reception upon arrival. Dinner this evening will be at one of our finest Amish Kitchen Cooking Restaurants with entertainment by the Mark Beachy Family Singers!

Day Two: After a deluxe continental breakfast at the Inn, depart for a countryside tour with your local step-on guide who will explain the history and culture of the area while you travel off the beaten path. We will visit the Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center, home of the cyclorama mural, Behalt. Then its off to Wendell August Forge to watch craftsmen create fine aluminum and bronze giftware….you can even hand-hammer your own creation to take home! Lunch will be on your own at either the Holmes County Amish Country Flea Market or the village of Berlin known for its unique specialty shops. In the afternoon you can either visit Rolling Ridge Ranch Exotic Animal Farm with a wagon ride, Yoders Amish Home and Farm tour with buggy ride and one room Amish School, or Schrock Farm and Village with buggy ride, blacksmith shop, and home tours. We will make a stop at Coblentz Chocolates to watch the workers create delicious homemade confections….samples, of course! Supper this evening will be at an Amish home for a wedding-style feast and singing by the family!

Day Three: Following breakfast, depart for one of our local cheese factories to watch cheese being made, and sample several delicious award-winning varieties. We will also visit Miller Bakery and Country Store, an old order Amish family business featuring the best pastries in the county, bulk foods, spices, jams, jellies, pickles, noodles, locally made crafts, and candy! To learn more about Holmes County history we will tour the gorgeous 28 room Victorian Mansion, one of the finest examples of Queen Anne style homes in the US. Enjoy browsing the many quaint and unique shops in historic downtown Millersburg.

Dinner this evening will be at the renowned Warther Carvings, Gardens, and Knife Shop. View the priceless ebony and ivory carvings, stroll the Swiss gardens to Mrs. Warther's Button House with over 70,000 buttons arranged in artwork, and see where the Warther family creates the finest kitchen cutlery in the world. Sit down to a candlelight dinner in the Ivory Room surrounded by the priceless works of art.

Day Four: Depart area following breakfast or add more time for other stops such at Lehman's General Store and Old Fashioned Hardware, and many other unique Amish cottage industries including Winesburg Carriage Factory and Museum. Walnut Creek Cheese is great for an ice cream stop any time of year!

Pricing begins at $195 for 3 day package based on double occupancy.

Entertainment Packages available for Amish Door Dinner Theater, Der Dutchman's Celebration of Life, featuring vocalist Mark Statler, Live Bluegrass every Saturday at Grandma's Alpine Homestead, Mark Beachy Family Singers, and Mary Faktor's comedy shows.
