Amish Summer Treats!

Step back in time to a simpler way of life as we travel to Ohio’s Amish Country! Our day will be filled with the summer’s beauty and bountiful treats as we travel the farmlands and countryside of one of Ohio’s most quaint and scenic areas!

We will be stopping by Baltic Mill, a restored 1800’s grist mill famous for their stone ground corn meal, flours, bulk foods, and garden decorations! Enjoy the delicious fresh corn bread samples, cashew crunch, and many other delights! Hershberger Truck Patch and Amish Bakery will fill the senses with the aroma of the best fresh baked pastries in the county! Pick out a donut, stuffed cookie, or decadent cream stick to enjoy later or while you are there watching the farm animals including Big Ben, the largest Belgian draft horse in Ohio! Browse the large selection of fresh local produce and take home some summer ripened fruits and vegetables!

Enjoy a one hour wagon ride at the Rolling Ridge Ranch Exotic Animal Farm! This beautiful 80 acre park features animals from six different continents! Feed them right from the wagon!

A family style feast will be included at Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen in Mt. Hope. Following lunch we will tour the factory at Homestead Furniture and visit the showroom filled with the fine hand crafted furniture the Amish are known for! An ice cream treat will be included for everyone at Walnut Creek Cheese. This fabulous store features awesome deli prices, jams, jellies, and more! We will finish out the day with a sangria demonstration, samples, and recipes at Swiss Heritage Winery!
