Brand new cutlery demonstration at Warthers.  Learn more about the finest kitchen cutlery in the world while you watch a demonstration on the
best way to use the knives. Watch workers create them on site.  Enjoy a tour of the museum filled with priceless steam engine carvings, and the family home, now open to the public.  Stroll the beautiful Swiss Gardens and view the famous button collection.  Lunch will be included at an Amish home where you will learn more about their kitchens and how they cook.  Enjoy talking to the family and learning more about what they plant in their gardens, and what their favorite food items are!  Recipes included.   A local green house will be included for some shopping time.  We will enjoy stopping by an Amish Bakery for the best pastries and local produce, and a stop at Heini’s Cheese to sample over 50 varieties of locally made cheeses.

Eating Your Way Through Amish Country

Features a  cooking demo at Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen in Mt. Hope on how to make the Amish wedding dessert date pudding and a delicious buffet feast.   Learn how to make one of our most famous desserts at Dutch Valley, peanut butter crumb pie!  Enjoy the dessert along with a hearty family style feast!  Dip into the pot for some delicious fondue at Chalet in the Valley then walk over to Guggisberg Cheese Factory, home of the Original Baby Swiss! Complimentary pastry of your choice will be included at the Hershberger Bakery and Farm Market.  Delight your taste buds with two specialty salads in an Amish home while you learn how to make their famous peanut butter whip.  End the day with wine sampling at one our local wineries!

Meet the owners and creators of some of Amish Country’s finest attractions! Watch the Warther family create the finest kitchen cutlery and learn how to use it, view the priceless ebony and ivory steam engine carvings, and stroll through the Swiss Gardens to Mrs. Warthers button house filled with over 70,000 buttons arranged in artwork!  Watch workers create delicious hand dipped confections at Coblentz Chocolates, make your own cream sticks at Das Dutch Kitchen, and learn how to make the Ohio Amish dessert specialty peanut butter pie at Dutch Valley. Enjoy watching cheese making at one our local cheese factories, and sample some delicious sangria or wine at one our fine award winning wineries!  Visit some Amish cottage industries to watch artisans create the fine crafts our area is known for and enjoy meeting the owners.  Demonstrations, recipes, and tours of some of our local farms, factories and galleries can also be included!

Grape is Good!

Enjoy an Amazing Grape experience featuring our finest local family owned wineries and vineyards!  Learn how to make Sangria at Swiss Heritage Winery with samples and recipes along with tasting the Award Winning Grand Champion Swiss Cheese from Broad Run.  Sample several varieties of award winning vintages from Breitenbach Winery, famous for their Frost Fire, First Crush, and Roadhouse Red!   Stop by the Silver Moon Winery for more delicious unique varieties.  Lunch or dinner can be included at the Raven’s Glenn Winery for an Italian Feast, and shopping time at Unusual Junction featuring meats, cheeses, bulk foods, antiques, and thousands of wedding and ball gowns, truly unusual!
